I cannot be more thankful for my one week “stay-cation” as the lovely Mitzi Figueroa calls it. It’s definitely well deserved. I’ve been a serious workaholic this week. Instead of just eight hours a day which I usually do, I was going over an hour, an hour an a half and before the deadline I worked a twelve-hour shift. But you gotta do what you must if there’s a timeline. So I’d have to say, my stay-cation is in dire need. I don’t have much planned but I’m hoping my week is going to consist of a lot of relaxing, catching up with my friends, sleep, pigging my face out and shopping.

Of course, last weekend I did a bit of shopping in my favourite area in Vancouver, Gastown. I knew my week coming up was going to be crazy and I had to feed my addiction. Honestly, I didn’t think I was going to find a whole lot, as this is the transition for the boutiques from winter to spring. But luckily, I found a few nice little things for myself. I purchased a great little striped t-shirt from Oak & Fort, with the hem being long in the back and short at the front. A cable knit scarf from (212) that looks like sleeves from a sweater and an amazing crew neck sweater with a print by Kai-Aakmann from Nouvelle Nouvelle. Well, my shopping didn’t stop there, the other day I got to escape work early after some grueling days and made a little stop at Zara. Purchased two pairs of amazing pointy-toe shoes for $40 each, along with these amazing pair of harem sweats with a side zipper. I was fairly impressed by them, only because they were actually tapered right and that they were actually from the mens department. Also picked up a great shirt and a striped sweater from H&M. I… can’t… stop… shopping.

Oh and may I say, I love this blue leopard cardigan I found in Gap. I’ve been on the hunt for a suitable leopard cardigan for myself since September and it took way too long to find one but thankfully I did. I was also very much inspired by Trussardi 1911 Spring 2011 collection with the combination of a stripes and leopard together. Thought I’d try it out and very much liked it.
